Registered Social Worker
I am a Registered Social Worker who acknowledges that working as a counsellor and hearing a client’s story is an honour and a privilege, not a right. I believe everyone is on a journey, and by accessing counselling you are allowing me to be a part of that journey, as well as allowing me to help you navigate through it. My desire is to create a safe, warm, non-judgmental, inviting place to explore, and support people through their own process.
I completed my Bachelors of Social Work in 2011 (University of Calgary), and continued to pursue my passion for counselling by completing my Masters of Counselling Psychology (Gonzaga University) in 2014. Currently, I am working towards my Clinical Social Work credentials. I have 8 years of counselling experience within the school system, and supporting individuals and families through their journeys. I have also worked closely with an elite baseball academy on team building, and individual mental health.
As a counsellor, I offer compassion, safety, confidentiality, and a safe space to explore and process difficult experiences. I take a client-centered approach, and will often use Emotion Focused therapy techniques in supporting my clients, and helping them construct goals to create change. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I am a tool to support you in your journey.
